“The I’d rather-not-cook book” by Tom Rice

I was always coming home from work worring about what to cook again and how tired I was for that. But I could’t skip the eating, not for me, but also for my two children and my husband. When i got married, I knew so little about cooking, that I found myself searching for a lot of cook-books that only had difficult, hard to cook receipes. With a job and also two kids to care for , I never had the time to improve my cooking, and i was spending hours in the kitchen with not so satisfing results.

One day, as I was complaining about this problem to a friend, she recommended me a book that helped her with a similar problem: “The I’d rather not cook book”, written by Tom Rice. The title didn’t make it sound like a book for a young mother and wife, and I was also in disbelief beacause of the subtitle, witch didn’t sound like reffering to me (its sub-title is “Bachelor(ette)Culinary Science”), but I thought I should give it a try.

From the moment I red the last page, I completely changed my view about cooking, and how easy it is in fact. The book contains a lot of advice on how to make cooking efficiently and healthy, reducing the number of hours spent in the kitchen. Now I get to spend more time with my family, and  I also get compliments for my cooking. I don’t have to worry about my children’s eating habbits and disorders, because I can provide then with nutritious and tasty food, that doesn’t even cost much.

The book is also very fun and easy to read, and I sincerily recommend it to people who find cooking hard and time-consuming.
